Here in Pennsylvania, the warmth, flowering trees, and green of Spring are a welcome experience after a Winter of "polar vortexes," heavy snow, ice, and power outages. It's a few weeks behind schedule, but that just makes it sweeter! Absence does make the heart grow fonder I suppose.
Another of the signs of Spring are new lambs that appear on farms near us in Lancaster. There's something about a pure white lamb bounding through a field that causes a smile across your face. Maybe that's why one of the popular Käthe Kruse themes is a lamb. Let's look at three of them as a celebration of Spring!
The Organic Woolen Lamb
In keeping with the pure white lamb, this sleeping toy lamb is made from white, exceptionally soft, fleeced cotton and stuffed with wool - of course. All materials used are certified organic. The ears, "arms," and legs are perfect for little fingers that like to explore and also provide the all important "handle" for carrying. Wash the lamb in cool water using the gentle cycle and tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
The Classic Lamb Towel Doll
This towel doll is one of the longest running items from the Käthe Kruse catalog. The lamb has a pleasant hand embroidered face and the outer towel layer is created from a wonderful lamb checkered print. The inner layer is a soft, white cotton flannel. A towel doll is the perfect companion for a newborn, helping to provide a safe and familiar environment. Wash the towel doll in cool water using the gentle cycle and tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
Luckies Classic Lamb Rattle
The Luckies series from Käthe Kruse utilizes vintage fabric patterns and simple classic designs. The lamb rattle is made from a cotton flowered fabric with a hand embroidered eye and matching light blue fabric ears. Sewn inside is a rattle element to create sounds when the lamb is shaken. Wash the lamb in cool water using the gentle cycle and tumble dry on low or hang to dry.
