Pony is a 17 inch doll modeled from the character in the book “Emil and The Detectives” by Erich Kästner, written and published in 1929. She and her friend Emil fight for justice in Berlin’s milieu together. Pony is wearing a lovely dress made of fine cotton fabric and has a wide-swinging skirt. Over her dress she wears a red matching cardigan. She likes her white beret very much and is proud of it. Her feet are ready for exploring in fashionable white shoes. Pony has a shaped composite head, hand painted brown hair and face, and her soft body is hand stuffed with reindeer hair. Emil and Pony are replicas of Doll I first introduced in 1913.
